Community Guidelines

This community exists so designers can get better at SketchUp, rendering and AI-assisted design together. A few ground rules keep it worth your time. By using the Community, Members, Map, Leaderboard and Tools areas you agree to these, along with the Course Terms and Conditions.

Be respectful
Treat every member the way you would treat a colleague you respect. Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or piling on. If someone posts a render and asks for feedback, critique the work and keep it constructive.

Keep it clean
No foul language, and nothing sexual, violent or graphic. Assume a client could be reading over your shoulder.

Stay on topic
This is a design community. Posts should relate to SketchUp, rendering, AI tools, design work, or the courses. Wins and introductions are always welcome. Your dinner, your politics, your religion and your opinion of the news are not, no matter how good the dinner was.

No self-promotion or solicitation
Do not promote your own products, services, courses, communities, affiliate links, discount codes or channels, and do not message members with offers. Sharing a tool you genuinely use is fine in Tools & Finds. Selling is not. If you are unsure, ask me first.

No spam or shady behavior
No repeated or mass posts, no bots or automation, no AI-generated filler, no misleading links, no pirated software, and nothing that would embarrass you if I screenshotted it.

One person, one account
Your login is yours alone. Sharing your username and password, letting someone else use your account, or selling or transferring access is prohibited and is a violation of the Course Terms.

Do not collect member data
Scraping, exporting or copying member names, emails, locations, posts or any other member information, by hand or by tool, is prohibited. Do not use the Members directory or Map to build a list, recruit, or contact people for anything unrelated to this community.

Respect privacy and ownership
Do not share other members’ posts, renders, personal details or screenshots of this community outside of it without their permission. Do not post client-confidential work. Post your own work as your own, and credit others when it is theirs. Course lessons and downloads are for you only and may not be shared or redistributed.

Post in the right place
Use the category that fits, search before you ask, and put questions about a specific lesson in that lesson’s comments so the answer stays with the lesson.

Report, do not call out
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the Report link on the post or email support@focusedsketchup.com. Do not start a public thread about another member. I read every report and will handle it.
Enforcement
Breaking any of these guidelines may result in your access being limited to the Classroom only, or in your account being terminated immediately without refund. Which one is my call, based on how serious the behavior was. There is no obligation to give a warning first, and serious cases such as harassment, data scraping or account sharing skip straight to termination.
